Livin' Off The Land

Every Sunday after church, Terran, Austin, and I join Jeff and Liz for Sunday dinner. Every once in awhile we help pick anything you can ever think of. This time around we helped picked all the apples that were finally ripe.

So Terran had a ladder

and Austin didn't, so he climbed up the tree

I had given up after a huge nasty bug fell down my shirt and was crawling all over me. Then, the finished product.

We are still waiting for eggs from the chickens.

We are so blessed with all the food that comes from Liz's garden and all their fruit trees. We were given so many green peppers, jalapenos, zuccini, cucumbers, apricots, and much more. It is a lot of work but well worth it, I want to start my own garden once Terran and I have our own place. We look forward to helping them again next year.

New Basketball Days

I am so proud of Terran! He tried out for CSI, who won the NJCAA National Tournament last year, and walked on after not playing competitve basketball in two years! He was stoked all summer to get to Idaho and get back on the court. He is such a hard worker, and has been complemented by his coach's that the team needs his spirit and hard work.

The Team

CSI was open to such good recruiting after winning, they have around 5 players who should have done D1 but didn't have the grades.

Terran

He has gained 15 pounds since he the beginning of the semester! I can't imagine how much he will gain after this whole year.

They plan to take the championship again, and I know nothing will get in their way.

I look forward to watching his games, it reminds me of the excitement and fun I had watching him when we were first dating. I am so grateful for how hard he works to support us, how hard he works at school, and how hard he works to achieve his basketball dream.

New Adventures!

Once we were hitched we moved to Atlanta, GA.

I was introduced to real humidity and felt like I should be in the mountains but there was never any in sight. I learned what a real rain and lighting storm consisted of, and my wonderful husband suprised me one night with FIREFLIES, that we eventual let out on our porch so I could see them light up!

I found my first real job selling high heels at Bakers in Lenox square, which is the largest mall in Georgia.

Terran took me to my first MLB game, the Atlanta Braves (his favorite team) vs. Texas Rangers, and yes I was only yards away from Hamilton and Heyward! I absolutely loved it! Watching the game in the humidity during the summer, you have to be a true fan to sit through that entire game.

Then the summer ended and it was time to say goodbye to the night life city.

Our ride home started at 9:00 Friday night and this is how we drove the van home.

Oklahoma was our midway point 16 hours later.

32 hours and almost 2,000 miles later, finally home to the west!

Atlanta Georgia was such a new experience for Terran and I. He worked so hard all summer knocking doors in one of the hottest places I have ever lived. I was so proud to have him at my side. Life in Atlanta was such an eye opener to life and different cultured backrounds that are within here in the United States. Atlanta was definitely a new experience for both of us and such a blessing. I can't say it was the easiest thing either of us did though. Most nights Terran came home after 10:00 and a lot of nights after I had gone to bed, we didn't get to spend much time together, but Terran never failed to take me on a date every weekend. We made it through with each other at our side and I am absolutely blessed to be married to my best friend.
